  1. This is awesome, good find! Has he got a super low noise contact mic or do you think a cheap one’s s/n ratio is not bad? I seem to remember you had one or two.

    • Thanks, Cohen! I think contact mics are usually noisy, can’t get much way around that, so you need to press them a lot whilst recording; the improvement I see on more ‘professional’ ones are about the material used to protect the transducers and particularly on the pre amp, lowering the impedance. I know only the basics on electronics but I think the transducers used are pretty much the same everywhere. May be worth to check this site: http://contactmicrophones.com/
